She didnt actually die, when the tattoo transferred back to him, he healed them both.

As for the new chairman, you are also right, he is the true devil is sheeps clothing in this show. Without spoiling I will just say what you have already seen, he has obviously been torturing and abusing his son to extreme measures. Not sure where the son started to go off the rails though. One more thing, I don't want to spoil, but I want you to keep an eye out for Gu Won's outfits in next weeks episode.. and you will know in which part..
