Weekend Update #21

Ahoy!

October is upon us once again! Here we have the lovely Aanya as this Weekend Update's pinup girl chilling sensually by the pool.

Development of the game is actually doing fine. I've finished most of the scenes regarding the main storyline which is part of the plot advancement of the game. The goal of this month is additional Playbuck pictures and "content" scenes for Aanya and maybe one or two for Priscilla and Fiona. Just additional unlockable scenes in the house. I also recently found out that there were translations for this game in Portuguese and ongoing one in Turkish. Quite curious on how they handle some of the stuff I wrote there. Now, into other semi-related news...

I recently rewatched Grand Budapest Hotel for some good 'ol inspiration. Fun fact, this movie inspired Reincarnotica's color palette and UI graphic design direction. Have a look at the movie's featurette "Creating a World" regarding Wes Anderson's insane attention to detail. They created fictional currencies, stamps, documents, newspapers, etc... that'll just exist for a couple of seconds. So I thought to myself, wouldn't it be nice to have a visually appealing menu accompanied with visually appealing girls and here we are.

Speaking of visually appealing, Vintage Pornographic Posters. Before the advent of video sharing mediums like VHSes or DVDs or the Internet, people had to actually watch porn in a public cinema if they wanted to. Makes you think what kind of scene you'll see if you flashed a UV light there. In any case, one way to advertise was to put up movie posters to entice people and they were enticing indeed. The composition is one of my personal favorites because it'll feature a sexual connotation of sort without it being too outright with its intention that it's porn. 

Just started playing Trails in the Sky. So, in the recent Tokyo Game Show, I saw a reveal of an upcoming Trails game coming out and it made curious if I should get into the Trails-series of games. It's always been in the back of my mind because most people praised the game. I'm not deep into it yet but it looks fun and the story is intriguing. I'm still sticking to JRPGs for the rest of the year ('til Cyberpunk 2077 anyways) because as much as I want to play Battle Royale games and whatnot, I'm a person who'll get easily addicted to it again. The development time of this game would double because of how time sinking those games are and how competitive I am. With this though, I could spend an hour or two and go back to developing the game.

Anyways, that's the Weekend Update, guys! I'm still refining it for the most part and I've standardized the image's resolution to 16:10 so it doesn't look chaotic like the last one with a vertical pic then a horizontal one.
