Tree Topper
Added 2020-12-25 16:36:31 +0000 UTCI had an awful problem leading up to Christmas this year! I had this lovely tree, big, huge, lush pine tree just aching to be decorated. Tinsel, decorations.. all of that I had, but what was really missing, the pièce de ré·sis·tance.. a proper tree topper!
I looked high and low for the perfect topper, but stars and angels just didn't quite seem to fit the motif I was looking for, and then it dawned on me! I see cardinals on Christmas trees all the damn time! And as luck would have it, I *know* a cardinal! Better yet, a cardinal that could quite easily handle having half a tree shoved up his ass and being left on display until the traditional mid-june tree-taking-down.
I'd love to say Pulsar volunteered, but I think he was as surprised at his place of honor as anything else! But it's fine, he makes a very fetching tree topper!
I...may have neglected to mention that you can't just pull a pine tree back out the way it came in though.. barbed trees and all that, so the only way out is through! Shouldn't be a problem though, probably only a few lost ornaments along the way, I'm sure he'll stop randomly emitting random muffled Christmas jingles sometime this year as the various batteries die.
