Rainy Night
Added 2021-02-20 18:01:58 +0000 UTCIt's always raining in Neotokyork, it seems. Especially at night. Some nights you forget what it's like not to have the deluge coming from the sky. It's such a given that Jaye wonders why she even bothers keeping a weather tracker on her HUD visual overlay. Always the off chance it'll be a clear night, maybe.
Not that she really minded the weather. She'd always loved the rain. While she preferred to enjoy it from the other side of a window inside of a dry room, she found that being wet didn't bother her nearly as much these days as it had back when she was human. Her finely-scaled hide.. what was left of it anyway, just did a better job of not letting her feel just *drenched* the way the old human hide had. It also helped that her augmented limbs really just didn't experience discomfort the way her flesh-and-blood castoffs had. Still was a bit of an odd feeling.. the things processed sensation just fine, she usually couldn't even tell the difference. They just.. deleted 'discomfort' from the equation. Yet another reason she loved the things.. nevermind the whole enhanced strength and dexterity thing.. or the various add-ons.. or the ability to just pop an arm of and really improve sleeping on her side.
Alright, enough musing. Tracker says the target is in this noodle shop, cams show one bodyguard, datachip should be on him.. should be an easy smash and grab..
