Quick Question

Hey there,

For those of you who have dual extrusion printers.  Are you able to use Prusa slicer for model coloring for non-Prusa machines, without the need for multiple stl's?

Comments

i have the creator pro2 and used the prusa dual for my print by running it through ths flashprint 5

Shannon Patterson

Yes i can use the prusa slicer for my Sovol SV04. It worked great for the knight!

Cr Th

I do this for a Flash Forge creator pro 2. There was some setup involved, and there is a python script that converts for the flash forge, but it is possible. https://github.com/Jacotheron/FlashForge-CreatorPro2-PS-Profile

i run the flashforge creator pro 2 dule head and i cant use prusa slicer at all. super bummed i really wanted to print in 2 colors.

How difficult would it be to provide your files in that format?

Chris Gilroy

Correct.

Dan

So I am guessing that Cura can not do this without someone creating two separate models?

Chris Gilroy

I use a Palette 3 pro

SaraMonster3D

I'm just jealous! Trying to hold for the Prusa XL.

Mike Kowalski

Alive got an A20M and wish there was an easier way to do dual prints

Dusty Wagner

The Tenlog, Sovol SV04 and othe IDEX printers will use prusa painted models

Paul Feeney

A single stl can be painted with a slicer to make it a multi color print

Usman Naeem

Pre-ordered a dual extruder but what I have seen from others who have received there's, it looks like you need multiple STLs.
