Fun mashup. I went back and watched the Stinkfist reactions too. I saw that David Bennett Piano channel recently put out a Taylor Swiftโs favourite chord progressions video recently, it does show some songs from Self Titled and Fearless you havenโt heard yet though. ;)
As for pop/rock mashups in the opposite mix of music and lyrics, maybe there was something I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit being put to a dance arrangement or slowed down or something perhaps? You could hear in this there was a bit of chopping and remixing the vocal sections to fit in the flow kinda thing and wasnโt flat just overlay 1 for 1.
I find mashups and interpolations that manage to mix a bit of both in to be clever, or itโs multiple songs in kinda a megamix/mash way. Elton John and Dua Lipaโs recent hit was a good example.
