*I'm deaf in my right ear which is why I'm not wearing headphones. I know, it's a bummer not to get the panning sounds. It's also been a bummer to only have one ear my whole life for lots of other reasons, like, playing telephone growing up, I was terrible at it. But, I'll be ok, and I'm getting both channels in the earbud, thanks for your concern :)

Also yeah there’s a few different points to your discussion about when artists etc decide to call it a day or when to take a break if they’re starting to get a little too prolific and overexposed. There’s a subsection that say that’s starting to happen a little bit with Jack Antonoff whom produced this whole album and co-wrote on all the standard edition tracks except Sweet Nothing and Vigilante Shit (a solo Taylor write). That maybe she should take a break from him or at least use him sparingly.

He’s been a bit mixed reception with the General Public, The Lorde album he c-produced and wrote on SOLAR POWER (2021) was a bit divisive, and compared with her previous highly acclaimed MELODRAMA (2017), which he also co-wrote and co-produced the majority of, similar to how Midnights will be compared with Folklore/Evermore which he also had a large part in. But still even within that comparison there’s a bit of a variety of sound here compared with folklore in particular so again YMMV. Zoe Kravitz was also a writer on Lavender Haze!

I think the timing could be good once she gets these TV’s done and out, finishes the Eras tour, maybe she can take a break to have a kid and settle down a bit with Joe for a while (if she wants to of course, fuck that societal pressure LOL) and then maybe we might get a bit of a RAY OF LIGHT (Madonna) album with some songs about motherhood from her a couple years down the line, and create a bit of yearning for her return (although not quite as long of a drought of non-feature solo music as say Rihanna for example please Taylor maybe thats a bit much. Haha).

I like the pre-chorus build up part in Mastermind. Snow on the Beach also barely features Lana and its been a bit of a thing with Taylor’s female features, (HAIM, The Chicks, etc) they’re mostly in the background vocals rather than being a prominent feature like some of her male collaborators get. The exception I think would be the Red TV Vault song ‘Nothing New’ with Phoebe Bridgers so far getting her own verse on that song.

There was no pre-album single/video released, Anti Hero’s came out a couple hours after the album came out, Bejeweled a couple days after. There was a controversy about the scene with two Taylors in the bathroom, she ended up cutting out the shot of the scales reading ‘FAT’ it being taken by some people as ‘fatphobic’, or on the other side of that, some say she should be able to leave it and the video and songs intention is to acknowledge how her insecurities manifest themselves? YMMV. Theres many easter eggs in the Bejeweled video that seems to point to Speak Now being the next TV, also 1989 TV (once this shake it off case resolves) she went to floor 5 (Album #5?) and had the Wildest Dreams hairstyle as you mentioned. I also thought of how you mentioned the dragons when I saw that at the end haha.
