This was a fun song, and Merry Christmas! Yeah Wilson Phillips. I remember in 1996 in 3rd grade our year doing a singalong to 'The Dream Is Still Alive' as part of a school concert on the Atlanta Olympics. Chynna Phillips also had a solo album that charted moderately in Australia during 1995/96 called NAKED AND SACRED, featuring the title song, and another called 'I Live For You', the latter charted in the Top 10 here.

Wilson Phillips consists of them with Chynna Phillips, the daughter of two members of The Mamas & The Papas. If I recall correctly, the girls are childhood friends. Wilson Phillips was one of my favorites growing up, so when Carnie and Wendy released a Christmas album it was also constantly on repeat. I’m not surprised you never heard this song before, because it was from that album and written by them. It’s not a terribly popular Christmas song, but it’s my favorite.
