Interesting mix Gonzo! I think My top song would definitely be the Motionless In White one, then for a Top 3 Maybe Halestorm and The Slipknot one had a nice flowing chorus. The first Spiritbox one I liked the slightly electronic edge to it.
A couple of them I thought had good melodic parts, Ymmv, Some of the screamo/heavier parts though IMO I thought maybe could’ve been mixed in a little more evenly for the flow, but at the same time thought some of those bits added well to where they were placed also IYKWIM.
I think you have reacted to Halestorm before. My only real familiarity with them since 2012 was when believe it or not Glee did a cover of their song ‘Here’s To Us’ (albeit a clean version). Mum’s actually been rewatching that particular Season at the moment so might get up to that episode again soon.
That lyric about holding on to letting go reminded me of a similar lyric in Florence + The Machine’s ‘Never Let Me Go’ from CEREMONIALS (2011).
Discounting like Jersh with the Slipknot one, Pretty Reckless one we’d heard before but that ones catchy too.
Sounded like a pretty good mix within that line up!
