Been watching a few shows while drawing. Castlevania ended pretty well. I've enjoyed it. Love the growth in the animation especially.
hard contrast to Godzilla Singular Point which is massively disappointing.
Also discovered the old Sean Bean show Sharpe while researching napoleonic uniforms and unexpectedly binged it.

Starting to agree with you there. All the stupid pseudo science bs is clogging the show up. It’s ALL THE CHARACTERS TALK ABOUT. Like, at least make it make SOME semblance of sense for god’s sake! I will say, there was a genuine sense of unease and menace in the earlier episodes, and the building mystery had real promise! And then they over-do it with all the future-seeing calculator bull crap and ruin any sense of danger the show had. I do like the new takes on the kaiju, Manda and Jet Jaguar especially, but Godzilla himself just shows up from nowhere and he’s just another monster! And his designs are meh at best, ugly as sin at worst. I do appreciate another new take on the mythos, but the confusing lore and Shin rip-off ain’t it chief.

2021-05-30 00:40:40 +0000 UTC-I’ve seen up to episode 9 due to a friend with the hook up. Im glad I don’t pay for nextflix anymore. -The animation is the MOST disappointing aspect for sure but not the only thing. -I guess its better overall than the movie trilogy but the story/setting for the trilogy is far more interesting with the earth evolved past humans for thousands of years. SP is very much mundane world/japan oriented.
