Introducing Dialekt | Culture-oriented content for Japanese learners

Hi everyone,

This post is slightly different than usual as we're not announcing nor releasing any new video.

For quite some time, we have seen many requests on our videos to add Japanese subtitles for people learning Japanese. We did so for a selection of videos, but this got us thinking that there could be something more that we could do, especially as we are fully aware that learning Japanese can be quite daunting.

We kept the idea in our minds, then a few years ago we posted a prototype on our Medium page. Dialekt is the next step we are taking towards that goal. In the long run, we aim at creating a culture web media, with each content bringing learning points and insights for both Japanese vocabulary & grammar.

We are conscious that each learner has their own level; we place Dialekt for learners who have acquired solid bases in Japanese and who are looking to diversify their reading through the content we offer.

We are making Dialekt available to all our patrons.

Please note that the website is still at a very early trial-and-error stage, but we are planning on adding content on a regular basis (in addition to navigation/design updates). While we focus on bringing value to Japanese learners, we hope that ultimately it can be an interesting read to anyone.
