This series features all the lovely Sponsor tier patrons that get a picture each month, and let me experiment with their characters and any kind of artistic concept and theme.
This month has to do with flat coloring and lines.
You may think its easy to make "simple" flat color drawings, but no! Simple drawings actually have a lot of thought into it. Personally I admire all the artists than can convey an idea, a scene or a beautiful character with simple lines and flat colors.
My style, as you may notice, is very rich on rendering and coloring effects, which is fine BUT I have to admit that many times it makes you (as an artist) lazy when it comes to basic fundamental concepts, such as:
design
composition
flow
color palettes
Thats why this month was quite interesting! It gave me the chance to dive into the power of simple techniques to create nice pictures!
