A Balloon Has It's Day (Infinite Ending)

Today is National Balloon Day, and you usually celebrate it by blowing up balloons. Everyone knows balloons are made to be played with, meant to be blown up and deflated and/or popped at your leisure. But what if these balloons have a mind of their own? Would they try to do the same to you?

Well, one pink balloon in particular might give you the answer. You’re just blowing it up when it starts to transform with every breath. First it transforms into a giant peanut, then it grows a head, then some limbs, and a few more human-like features until it becomes a cute and pink balloon girl, and you find yourself blowing into her bellybutton. She has short pink hair, a big smile, and speaks in a voice that’s cheery and energetic.

You’d think she’d be out for revenge on all those balloon lovers, but she insists she never felt happier to have it this way, or be given life to this world (somehow). In any case, it’s about time the balloons return the favor. The pink balloon girl grabs you by the cheeks, takes a deep breath big enough to expand herself a little bit, then blows into your mouth.

Your belly is the first to blow up. It grows to the size of a beach ball. Next, with another deep breath, your chest inflates along with your belly. Following that is your butt, then your limbs.

Several deep breaths later, you’re so inflated, all you can do is helplessly flap your arms. But the balloon girl is starting to run out of breath, and looking a little deflated. Guess there’s not enough air to go around. Luckily, some air tanks you keep in the corner of the room will help with that problem. After regaining her strength, the pink balloon girl grabs one of those air tanks, puts the hose of it into your mouth, then turns the valve until a hissing sound is heard. And just like that, you resume inflating.

As you blow up and round up into a big, round orb, the balloon girl can’t help but want to join in. She grabs another air tank and puts its hose into her bellybutton. Once another hissing sound is heard, you find her inflating up to match your size.

The two of you continue to inflate from there. Little by little, your feet, hands, and heads sink deeper and deeper into your swelling bodies as they take up more and more space in your room. Your backs touch the walls and your bellies press into each other, adding more pressure to your inflation. Creaking and groaning sounds can be heard emitting from your bodies as the pressure becomes so much, you both feel like you could just explode at any second.

*PING!*

Both valves of both air tanks pop off, and the hissing sounds get louder and louder. The both of you are now starting to inflate out of control! You just know you’d be in for a wild ride as you two manage to grow so big, you both fill up every last inch of space available in the room, top to bottom, corner to corner, and still growing bigger, and bigger, and bigger…

*CRASH!!*

You two bust through the ceiling and walls of your own room, which now gives you all the room imaginable to expand. You grow big enough to cast shadows over houses, blocks, and whole neighborhoods. Soon you find yourselves looming over the entire city, and still inflating.

Several minutes later, you find yourselves blown up big enough to be considered your own planets. While that’s going on, the pressure inside you two multiplies even more due to the atmosphere. Now you’re blowing up bigger and faster than ever before.

You blow up bigger than any planet or star, then bigger than any galaxy, then bigger than everything in the universe combined, including the universe itself. The white space around you signals that there is nothing left to outgrow. Two different entities, continuing to expand bigger than all else, and deep within those universe sized blimp bodies are a pair of satisfied, smiling faces.

If you had a chance, you’d do it all again next year, or probably sooner.
