Just finished the last season of search party…what a disappointment. It is completely off the rails, which is usually its strong point, but instead it was just for the sake of shock factor. The season was an homage to about 10 different movies but the season forgot to have fun. A shame.

2022-01-30 09:23:07 +0000 UTCFor me, the first trailer that had a scene that wasn’t in the movie was the old Val Kilmer movie “Real Genius”. There was a scene in the trailer of Val Kilmer’s character Chris laying on a lounge chair that was being held afloat by small balloons. As he floats past the 2nd floor window of Professor Hathaway (William Atherton) the professor asks him “Chris, what are you doing?” to which Chris replies totally deadpan “Floating, sir.” I remember that seeing (although I’m doing it now from memory so it may be slightly different than I’ve described) and being very upset that it wasn’t in the movie. This was the movie that I realized they did this kind of thing.
