60 Second Histories...
Added 2023-10-14 16:59:08 +0000 UTCDear Patrons,
Many of you will be familiar with YouTube 'Shorts' - this is YouTube's attempt to also be Tiktok, with its own 60 second video format.
I've remained slightly aloof from Shorts so far - they seem rather superficial, and in the wrong aspect ratio! But I've been persuaded they may help to entice new viewers to the channel - and so we've made 8 new Shorts, inspired by previous videos but entirely new topics, which are you are now first to see here on Patreon.
There's something for everyone - a bit of WW1, some Napoleon, some Eastern Romans etc, and although some topics will seem very basic to my well-informed Patrons ('What were the Napoleonic Wars?'), others are more specific, and well worth a watch.
I hope you enjoy, and Eylau is on the way soon!
Toby

Thanks Thomas. If you mean the text question at the start of each Short, that's just the title, not part of the actual video. But good ideas.

All of these short form videos are about grabbing peoples attention quickly before they scroll. With that in mind, in the future I would recommend cutting the introductory question and grab people’s attention quickly with some of the climatic points in the great works you’ve already released!

I would just say that at 3.40 Napoleons Empire at its height includes the enemies of the 6th coalition of 1813 but a Spanish map of early 1812?
