Sunday Stream!

Hello everyone,

After some embarrassing technical difficulties, we're live. We'll be watching Empire Strikes Back while riffing and taking notes in preparation for our version of Ep. 5.

Sunday Stream!

Benjamin, I imagine a real, full-time operation of Auralnauts would involve occasional hiring of voice actors, visual effects artists, cinematographers, editors, you name it. Depending on who you're hiring, the market rate for specialty freelancers can reach many, many hundreds of dollars a day. It's also possible that they make good money at their current jobs, and in which case, it would make perfect sense to do some part-time gigs rather than take a severe cut in pay. And, honestly, I think each of them deserves a babillion bucks a year. However, I do think they should ask a clever writing friend to take a look at their text and give honest feedback. (I also wonder whether or not excluding $1 donations is counter-productive, but I really don't know. It would be a shame to price out people who want to join your mailing list.) (By the way, shift + enter allows for paragraphing, just like Facebook. I learned from a commenter too!) I've really been enjoying the Patreon rewards so far. Thanks!

First of all, thank you for your generous donation. We're mega appreciative of any and all support. Second, our goals, for the most part, are placeholders, completely subject to adjustment as our needs become more apparent. They are also arbitrary. Patreon requires that we set goals, but our goal is to make content with whatever funds we are lucky enough to receive. If this is as much as we ever receive, great. That's more than we had yesterday. If all 160K of our subscribers want to pledge a dollar, awesome! Either way, Patreon asks that we put a label on both of those scenarios. Our goals are not solely cost of living oriented. These funds are meant to not only sustain us, but to supplement any and all projects we want to produce for our channel, and we've got some big ideas. This is a budget for our entire operation, which currently exists in the realm of "passion project". We're not quiet about the fact that we're still figuring all of this out, and we appreciate any advice or suggestions, as long as they're constructively presented. The bottom line is if you like what we do and want to see more, support us. Let us worry about how we choose to run our operation.

Compliments to you two on your YT video channel and content. It's funny, well thought out and executed impressively (especially the star wars saga).

Oh, and of course the de-specialized versions are best, but the special editions would be funniest!

I'm sure you've already considered it, but as long as you're not showing the A/V as you're commentating, it's fine. Just have the audio in the background as you're watching, and cue us as to when to begin our own player, and which version you're watching.

i still enjoyed the 4~ minutes of streaming that i saw haha

More notice next time!! :)

Oh, YouTube, I almost forgot! .... suck it!

Nah we got hosed by YouTube copyrights. We'll return and conquer.

Auralnauts

aaaaand I missed it :( I'm sure it was great!

Hope these streams start working out better next time.

There will be a way to rewatch them for sure, once we've successfully produced one. This one was a busy almost right away. Not enough to save for posterity. No set times right now. We'll just try our best to let you know in advance once we know our schedules.

Auralnauts

I missed it! Is there a set time for these streams? Or you know, when Youtube aren't being awkward - anywhere to rewatch them?

Hopefully you guys can get youtube to cooperate soon! n case I miss the next one, I was going to suggest that when Han and Chewie are taking the Falcon apart they are actually looking for space weed

Philip Meade

Well, what we did see/hear was great. Thanks, guys! Looking forward to the next

gg, boys

Another bust. Youtube shut us down for copyright strikes even though it was a private stream. We'll iron out the kinks and hit it hard ASAP!

Auralnauts
