The theater cackled everytime he was on screen!

Greyson Flax

Emotional journeys…for characters who are already dead? Hmm

Greyson Flax

Having just seen Strange Darling, I can now completely understand Devindra’s reactions.

Ian O'Toole

I feel you Darmine. For a long time Dave really irritated me with his approach and perspectives. I don't feel that way anymore bc I think he's changed his approach somewhat and isn't as grating to me 😅

Rick C

I was very sad to hear about James Earl Jones’ death, though he did have a long life. I worked with him 3 times, most notably on the about a dozen episodes of a network legal series titled “Gabriel’s Fire”. He was truly a very nice, professional and humble man.

J Hay

It’s just for laughs mate 💕 I was making a joke. Please don’t feel attacked whenever anyone says something that’s not 100% serious 🤗

April Reid

I thought it was pretty hilarious 😆 the way Devindra came back to it later on his what he's been watching pick was 😙👌🏻 it was very Chen-esque in how scathing it was 😅

Rick C

Cool cool, helpful. My point was ideally we can express displeasure here without the compulsively defensive retorts. Just because we’re fans doesn’t mean we have to love every second of every episode and chasten any criticism. Ultimately I’ve said my piece and have spent more time on this than it merits, I am moving on now.

DarmineDoggyDoor

There’s room for you and opposing opinions.

Mountain of Conflict

I expected a defensive reply such as this. There’s room for opinions here

DarmineDoggyDoor

Couldn’t disagree more about Willem Dafoe! I want a whole spinoff about his character. So great.

Ryan Polly

He’s actually funnier than he thinks he is

April Reid

Devindra was so grating this episode. Haven’t seen Strange Darling and I’m not a celluloid purist but man, he was such a dick about it, not as funny as he thinks he is

DarmineDoggyDoor

Quick correction: The JEJ Vader quote is , "No, I am your father." It always gets misquoted as , "Luke, I am your father."

From Wiki: Adelle Lutz was born in Lakewood, Ohio, in 1948. Her parents were Mona Miwako Furuki, a native of Japan who studied couture, and Walter Lutz, an American businessman in international trade; they met in occupied Japan on Christmas Day 1945, while Walter served with the United States Army.[12][26][27] Their collection of over 4,000 Asian bamboo works and objects is part of the Denver Art Museum's collection and was exhibited in the museum's Walter + Mona Lutz Gallery, which Adelle co-designed.[28]

Jeff's "missing link" comment during Chimp Crazy dsevered way more of a raction. Excellent joke Jeff.

Grant Cosper

I hope he gets a million emails about this. I figured he would be corrected immediately.

Danny Champlin

The “paranormal” lady at the dinner table of the original wasn’t Asian?? I would’ve sworn by my life.

Ryan Crisp

Funny that you bring up the “chopped up” opening shot - last week after you guys talked about the opening shot of Beetlejuice, I went and watched it. You were talking about how it goes from the helicopter shot over the town to tight on the model with the spider and couldn’t tell how they did it - but go watch it again. There are two very clear dissolves where it switches to the model town. It’s not a single continuous shot at all. But it makes you *feel* that it is - enough that Devindra claims there are people walking around (there aren’t.) This isn’t a knock on you guys, it’s just a funny/interesting trick of the brain that you think you saw something that you actually didn’t.

Cameron Stewart

Dave, did you seriously just misquote one of the most famous lines in all of cinema? 😆

Thomas Calton

Couldn't be more perfect timing...I just walked out of the theater after seeing Beetlejuice and am about to drive home.
