The way he was complaining recently about how she wasn't in Agatha All Along enough and how she was the only reason he was watching it, and now this just makes me think he's fetishizing her a bit (or a lot, I don't know).

The secondary market and culture in general is too fragmented, and there’s just too much volume of product, for films to catch on an gain a new life months/years after initial release. No one is finding films in video stores or on cable anymore. Movies on streamers don’t break out into the cultural conversation.

There was one he moderated the members of Talking Heads for Stop Making Sense during TIFF and it was awkward as hell. He wouldn't ask questions, just flat statements like "this is the greatest concert film of all time...." awkward pause. Or stuff like "favourite song from the concert" which would get smatters of applause. He just wasn't very good at teeing people up well for questions or discussion. Contrasted not long after with their Colbert appearance that went much smoother, more fun and flowing. It was a stark difference in what makes a good interviewer.
