As I said, I avoid fantasy, so how can this be real? I think that Sammy had a crush on Jeremy, but did Jeremy have a similar attachment. Sammy trusted him "to the extent that I had faith in his abilities" but what would Jeremy do? My guess is that Sammy happily submitted in hope (?)

2021-07-05 01:05:20 +0000 UTCThis is another inventive twist on Pygmalion. I do think that the premise needed a little more priming. A little more back story. Just enough to have the reader lean in to the motivations of both characters. Maybe I'm a romantic but I do think Sammy wasn't entirely clueless about their relationship and maybe had an inkling of what the experiment might be about. Still, lovely story.
