I generally prefer stories of romance with good outcomes. I like to think of TG fiction as being a positive force, in particular for those who may struggle with their feelings, but every now and again a story takes a sad direction ... for some.

As an undying optimist myself, I much prefer to read happy endings. But I do find it intriguing that you got such an emotional response from that recent story. I do hope it doesn’t tempt you to go over to the darkside. Life is often sad enough as it is. Escapism is not a bad thing.
