Back from VF / Leak in the Ceiling!
Added 2019-03-12 20:18:49 +0000 UTCTLDR: We came home to a leak in the living room ceiling near our workstations but luckily not dripping onto them or anything but the floor. Work will be slower as i must use my tablet for everything and it is less efficient at non-drawing things like graphics, anything photoshop, etc.
Etsy getting put back online with leftover VF items is on the back burner for the moment.
Animal pin kickstarter is probably going to take a tiny stint on the back burner until this is fixed. (at least in terms of graphics and setup. Back end plans are still being worked on.)

Interesting development. So, we come back from VancouFur on Sunday evening (review will have to wait) and settle in. We see a notice for a fire alarm test/inspection for the following Tuesday. Cool, we unpack, get errands done, etc on Monday and set our alarms to ensure i'm up and ready for the inspection. We notice nothing out of the ordinary.
Inspection happens, it takes like 1 minute, cool, its done. I go finish my breakfast and the go to start my work day when i see a shine on the floor. It's water. I look around then look up to more water. 5 distinct drip zones in three wet spots. I'm not going to go into detail atm on how the leak inspection went because it all boils down to playing a waiting game and i'm pretty peeved.
Luckily it's in a spot that isn't dripping onto anything but it's very close to our work stations and entertainment setup so we've unplugged our computer towers and put them in another room and moved a bunch of other stuff to prevent any potential damage. We will probably move more later this evening since who knows what will happen while we sleep.
SO. This means that my usual workstation is not available. For how long we aren't sure at this point. This means that a lot of things i wanted to have done this week are going to take longer as i'm stuck with working on my tablet which is much slower. I'm going to have to spend some time configuring my tablet a bit differently to be more a primary station but i should still be able to get things done at a decent pace. It just means some things wont get as much attention, like social media and gallery posting.
I'll let you guys know when i get my work station back in order once this is all fixed. Expect some art soon either way.
What a day.
