August 2020 Recap

Where are the months even going? This year feels like the longest and shortest period of time and dang is it disorienting. 

So, during August, my Cintiq Companion 1 crapped out on me. Not fully, but enough so that it was too inefficient to work with. I've got a friend lined up to try to repair it at some point soon but they are moving so that is on hold for now.

In the mean time, a creator friend is sending me a screen tablet they no longer use, in the mail. It may still be a few weeks before it gets here due to the state of the world and possibly getting held up at the border BUT, it should be hitting Canadian customs any day now! Crossing fingers it makes it here in one piece! I may need to source a new power cable for it but either way it will provide more work stability while I work on saving for something new, which is still quite out of my budget at the moment. (I'm hoping Huion creates a smaller version of their new tablet PC product. 22" is giant for my needs. XD )

In the mean time, my partner has loaned me their Surface Pro and while it's very different and a little hard to work on, it's been keeping me more productive than I would otherwise be. I'm so thankful!

I'm plugging along as best I can!

Everyones support during August has reactivated the Ancient Elemental rewards which is AWESOME! I'm getting folks' records updated and starting to schedule these bonus rewards. (Thanks for your patience!) I've got a mailed item going out to someone who reached a milestone, which is exciting!
