Alternative play modes

As mentioned in a previous posts, while receiving feedback from players one of the problems I’ve found was that some players can become too focused on the strategy side of gathering the points for their preferred kinks, and that becomes detrimental for the roleplay experience.

To fight this, I’ve created some alternative options to play the game. Now, in the skills menu, there’s an options screen where you can toggle ON and OFF some settings at will.

The settings are explained in the image, so I won’t dwell much on them. I hope these alternative modes will allow everyone to enjoy the game in the way that feels better for them. The goal is to give some more freedom to players to choose the answers they want to give, rather than just automatically picking the answers that give the points for the skills they want more. If you find yourself having this problem, you might want to try switching ON one or both of these modes.

If you are enjoying the game as is (and I hope you’re since you’re supporting it!), I’d still recommend you play with those settings OFF. But it has to be said that I had to balance all the skills and prices from the start without knowing for certain how many chapters there would be in total, the average number of points given per chapter, how players interpret the system, etc. We will see how well that was done. In case I screw up, toggling ON the “Relax Mode” might salvage your saved game in a pinch. Also, the “Blind Mode” might be a fun experience, if you don’t want your choices to be influenced by the point systems. Try it out and see if you enjoy the game more that way!

Cheats:

There are some players that just skip the text until they get to the lewd scenes. Or have their main save but are curious to see the alternative sex scenes they didn’t pick. For situations like these, there’s also the cheat option that gives the player all skills instantly.

And, finally, the "find the kink menus" now also have a “?” button that gives the solution for the people that are stuck and need to go to forums ask for the solution and wait until they get one, maybe for hours/days. I can imagine that’s not a fun experience.

Needless to say, these cheat options will cause a break in immersion. So, use them wisely, if at all. 

PS: These cheats will give a prompt before you confirm that you want them. This is to avoid any issues with involuntary misclicks. These changes will be in the patch 0.2.3 that is prepared to go live once Chapter 2 is made available for free.
