main character reveal!

Okay so, I'm very unlike those artists who post all their characters and interactions of said characters on twitter even before the comic's out.. not that that's a bad thing to do!! It's actually a good way to keep the public engaged and, if they like it, a very good way to make them want the comic even more! 

But I'm not like that. I always need to keep things close to my chest until the story starts. I want readers to discover the world I've created as they read the comic! I want things revealed when it's time for the story to reveal them! 

... and another part of me is so excited about the characters and the story that it's very much enjoying at least the main character reveal. Not that it's a lot to go on, but it's a lot for me!

I think it's also a big step for me: there's been a lot of things going on, unconsciously, after GGaR's end, and every step I make towards making this new comic a thing feels like a confirmation of GGaR ending. And part of me is very much in grief of that loss!!

GGaR wasn't just about the characters I've grown so fond of through the years, but it was also a very concrete form of stability for me: work wise, and financial wise. I build a routine around it, which I was very proud of in the end, self-discipline is such a beast to tame. Sure, questions and challenges could arise, and they did, but the path was set. GGaR was a stability in so many ways. 

Now I'm trying to build another one, a very new one... that I thankfully have a lot of faith in. It's thanks to that faith (and trust in my story-telling ability) that I'm excited to get this new thing going more than anything!

I'm already growing fond of Pia and I can't wait to start their adventure with you along for the ride<3
