2021-10-31 12:13:02 +0000 UTCI thought about it a bit more after I posted that and I realised I had read the French after I'd read the English, so now I can't be sure I would have made the link to 'papillon de nuit' if I hadn't first seen 'grand-moth'. Not that it's terribly important; 'ma mamie de nuit' has a beauty of its own even without that link - and both still have that (to me at least) pleasing alliteration.)
