In Spanish we do a similar thing, which is inverting the order of syllables so that e.g. "mujer" (woman) -> "jermu". Argentinians are especially fond of it ^^

For example, we never omit the last sounds (like the French do in meuf instead of meu-fa, or keuf instead of keu-fli) and, in multi-syllable words, we simply take the first syllable and put in the end (for example, kišobran (umbrella) becomes šobranki).

2024-10-16 11:41:27 +0000 UTCPecho is a french "verlen" word which is a thing we french people do (I learned only recently that we are some of the only ppl to do that also I never had to write that word before it might be verlan but idk) just put a word in "reverse" verlen being the reverse of "l' envers" wich means inside out So "pecho" is the verlen of "chopper" which means to catch and Pecho specifically is used to mean to seduce/make out with someone depending on the context Hope I was clear?

Good effort on finding puns that work in English, and although I think I get the French version in the last frame (the Appa part of appathie meaning bait from what I can tell) what's the gag with the "Pech-o" part in the preceding frame?
