Upload Notes: Dynamax Maniac

Another short story has spewed off my keyboard and schlopped onto my patreon for you to enjoy. I decided to just wrap up what I have and post it early since this project was meant to be quick and simple, just a doodle basically. I had a lot of fun with it as a result of taking it not-so-seriously, which is why this story is heavier on the quips and faster on the progression. Don't think too hard about it~

Hex Maniac is my favorite fictional character of all time -- the true waifu for laifu. Imagine my expression when I first saw dynamaxing during that Nintendo Direct... I had to do it! Someone had to, and I volunteered. Someone needed to not only write a stupid giantess story about dynamaxing, but that someone also needed to make it about Hex Maniac. This needed to happen, even though Hex Maniac is from a totally different game/region, and we as players don't know shit about dynamaxing. Someone had to, and that someone... was me.

I'm actually quite the stickler to details when it comes to writing this kind of stuff, haha~ It really twists my gut to write about a mechanic we don't know really anything about, I'd normally wait until we knew more, but it was a race and I wanted to win. I made sure other details were accurate as well; perhaps a fan of Pokemon XY will be able to tell? Obviously I took some generous liberties here and there to make the world of pokemon more immersive for the narrative's sake, but I did my research! In weird ways! For example, both the pokemon ranger and the furisode girl are inspired from actual trainers in their areas, and the latter in particular even has a little joke hidden in her dialogue that's a call back to what she says in-game.

To me, small details like this really sell a fanfic to me~ What do you guys think? And how about those alternate endings. Were those fun? Awkward? I'd love to know if this is something I can do more of with my patreon! Patron-exclusive alternate endings sounds, to me, like a neat way to give you guys better content for supporting me. As a note, Dynamax Maniac will be reposted in a few days to go public, but it won't have the alternate endings. That's just for, patrons!

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it~ I'll be working on some commission projects as well as the next entry in the Never-Endings going forward. I also have a bigger project currently being prepared! Still just sketching things out, but it should end up being another long-term project much like Endless was. A fantasy adventure of a demigod seeking revenge... Does that sound intriguing?
