friday 🦇

hi everyone, i hope you're all doing okay. no photos/video this week, as it was a very warm one- even with aircon the attic is mostly uninhabitable 🥲

however, i have been chipping away at some small illustration bits, including the index cards that i mentioned in the group chat at the beginning of the week. i've attached the files for those below! will work on them a little more still, add some more designs, but just to get you started ✂️

i've been printing them out and using them in my notebook this week, which has been nice.

the last few days ive also been working on an idea for a set of oracle cards- i have 30 written up in a list, and 8 drawn out so far. i'll add a split screenshot below so you can see them a little closer!

i'm a little unsure on how/whether to colour them, but i figure it doesn't hurt to get them all drawn up before i decide 💭 they're still very much a work in progress, and the text at the top for inverted readings hasn't been worked out yet, so you can ignore it lol 🥲 the text at the bottom is complete, though.

anyway, it's been a fun distraction this week in the heat, and i'm looking forward to finishing the full deck. hope you like them 😌

this weekend i'm travelling to new york (a little unexpectedly) for a small work opportunity (nothing huge, just cool), and i'll be there for a few days. will take photos and video, so i'll look forward to sharing that with you when i can 📸 i wasn't sure i'd ever get the opportunity to go back, so i'm really looking forward to it. although i'm looking less forward to the 32°c heat 🔥

okay, i think that's all this week! will possibly keep you updated while i'm away (if i have enough down time), otherwise the next update might not be until the monday after next- so two/three days late.
