Comments

Its progressing to do at least 1000 better than the that, probably 2000.

Will

Somewhere between 800-1000 above last year's total at this point + whatever that VIP section is. This will hit 8k comfortably, most likely 9k.

Will

I still think this'll end up good. Maybe they won't open the upper level at this point, but I'm expecting most of what's on sale now to go by showtime. And that'll look fantastic on TV.

There's been a theory recently that AEW have changed their seating process. Instead of filling uppers on camera side, they want the hard camera to be full first. I think there's truth to this after last night's show. Previously they'd have filled up the upper camera side over the hard camera. Maybe AEW are finally sick of the empty seats on the hard cam side pics spreading on social media?

9k would be a massive turnaround. It'll be very hard though with how it's currently trending. A few weeks ago it looked to be trending towards 10k+ easy then the big slow down happened. If they recovered it back to 9k I'd be impressed but like you said they'd need to promote like crazy for it.

They barely have any matches announced which is a big problem for AEW - people don't know ahead of time who is going to be there so people are wary of buying a ticket. This will get more sales after next Tuesday when more of the card is announced (and when they inevitably lower prices) but, yeah, they really need to stop waiting to announce matches so close to the PPV. This should beat last year's Wrestledream but probably 8k, maybe 9k if they do a massive amount of publicity. They really need to get Danielson, Swerve and Darby out there on the PR trail.

Really thought during presale they’d get uppers opened guess not

Anthony Ramos

It's going to top last year which was 6700 so it's a good #.

Adam I

Ya I think it'll hit 8k with a heavy push

Kyle

Yeah I'm also surprised at how much this one crashed. It was looking to easily clear last years with lots of time to spare. Maybe another case of people waiting until the last minute? Shame as I thought this was heading for an easy 10k. Now I think 8k is the ceiling.

Next time, do Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle. Would hold 7500 and would be sold out by showtime.

Kyle

It should get to 8000 by bell time which isn’t bad.

David C

Surprised this one has struggled so much but a lot of their Pacific Northwest shows have been a little soft -- figured for a PPV it'd do better though.
