🗒️ | Just my opinion, but Philadelphia should have been saved for Dynamite or a bigger event, rather than the current perceived B-show. Sure, you need to run some decent markets for Collision, but they aren't going to come close to the 5,600 attendance they had here last time for Dynamite. Right now, AEW absolutely needs to maximize its top markets, and Philadelphia should be one of the cities earmarked for a bigger show once a year (Dynamite at minimum).

WWE NXT at 2300 arena on November 6th in Philly! Can't wait!

2300 would been perfect rather than this awfull number

That is probably exactly why they booked it.

I reckon if it was dynamite you’d be talking 3k sold already with potential for 4k, for this you’ll be lucky to get 3k at the maximum

Ryan Meston

Dk if it had anything to do with it..Jags at Eagles on Sunday night that weekend which I'll be at. Hopefully that isn't why they booked it

While wrestling will always be the main focal point, people also want storyline development, to see the 'A' stars and major happenings which rarely ever happens on Collision. It's just match after match after match (usually with the winner not in doubt) and that doesn't draw. When I went to that Collision in Vancouver earlier this year, it should have been a much bigger show with that crowd but it was just a safe by the numbers show that was skippable for most people.

This is a good editorial. Personally, Collision is an easy watch but it doesn’t feel must see. It feels like an extended 2023 Rampage. Unless they get Shockwave on network TV up and going with stars promoted I don’t think they should be going to their stronger markets without a pay-per-view or Dynamite.

Bizarre choice agreed

Or they could've run the 2300 Arena like WWE is going to for NXT when they run opposite Dynamite in November. AEW could have given it an unofficial ECW theme with RVD, Taz, Sabu and various other alumni invited (Masato Tanaka and RVD can still wrestle as a good level). I bet that'd do a better rating than the normal show. It'd be a sold out show by now and they probably could've slapped more premium pricing on it. If you run B/C shows in small buildings, you can still go back in the same year and run an A show in the bigger building. After they ran Arlington and Cardiff in small buildings, I'm not buying the production/set reasons anymore for not running certain shows in smaller scale buildings. It can be done and it'll make a better TV experience.

Bold move running the B-show Collision(like you said) when Ja Morant & the Grizzlies are in town to play the 76ers… Zach Edey vs Joel Embiid is can’t miss!

Philly Should get Blood & Guys next year.
