AEW cancels Wichita, KS show
Added 2025-04-26 02:21:49 +0000 UTCAEW Collision, originally scheduled for May 17, 2025, at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, KS, has been canceled. The previously announced Dynamite event on May 14, 2025, at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates will now be a dual Dynamite and Collision taping. At last check, the Wichita Collision event had distributed an estimated 1,158 tickets.

It's not just that. There's also the NBA and NHL playoffs ongoing, meaning that the broadcast of Collision is likely to be delayed by game overrun, so a live broadcast makes little sense. There's a reason over the next couple of months Collision is mostly either taped after Dynamite on Wednesday, or on Thursday. Outside of this Wichita show, the only other live Saturday Collision between now and late June (when the playoffs end) is next week in Atlantic City. And that was meant to be the day Fyre Supercard of Honor which has been made part of All In week instead.

Man, this company is still reeling from the effects of their downturn of business when it comes to live attendance. I'm glad things finally levelled out for the most part. Now it's just a learning process to see what works and what doesn't.
