JUST SING | Early Release

Just sing, like it’s what we’ve been missin’ and they’re gonna listen, forget everything, JUST SING. 

It’s a good message, especially right now when everything feels a little, or in some cases, a lot topsy-turvey. Some of you knew that this song was coming down the pipeline so we hope it lives up to your expectations - we think it turned out great.  There a QUITE a few surprises in this video, so before you read ANY further STOP.

Welcome back, that was fun, wasn’t it? Big ups to Layne for making all of that possible- he’s been doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and editing for the past week to make this video a reality so if you see him in the street make sure to give him a Social Distancing hug. That’s where you shout HUG at each other from at least 6 feet away and hope that the pressure wave from your voice impacts the other persons body in a hug type way.  

It’s a terrible idea, don’t do that.

John Pinto  (Super talented fella who Collaborated with us on It Ain’t Me and until everything turned to poo was KILLING it on Broadway) 

Scott Porter (Our buddy who is a Dancer, Singer, Actor, Beatboxer, Voice-over artist,  SUPER GEEK, and our very first percussionist - If you don’t know - LOOK HIM UP!) 

Jeff Thacher (Our friend for 20 years now - Jeff pioneered modern vocal percussion and drums for ROCKAPELLA full time, but also produced our first EP and is just an all around cool guy.)

Jarrett Johnson (Our buddy who used to sing for M-Pact, but now sings backup for Michael Buble and occasionally sits in with TAKE 6. He’s subbed for us a handful of times over the years and you could prob never ask to meet a sweeter guy) 

There you have it - that was a lot of typing. OH! We’ve decided to donate the streaming revenue from this song to MUSICARES, which is a charity that is providing relief to the music community affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. You can read all about it here and support them more if you’re able or just spread the word. Our industry will be among the last to open back up and because of the Corona Virus, and there are MANY friends of ours (some in this list above) who are trying to figure out how to make a living in this new world and charities like MUSICARES are there to help all of us cross that divide.
