Well, being sarcastic is fine, but my take is that once people grasp how the decentralization of everything will self-empower them, they will quickly turn their backs on centralized GAFAM coins like Libra, etc. Ironically, the latter will involuntarily accelerate the transition and adoption of real cryptos and alt coins.

They can also make the masses self-brain-washing by monetizing and demonetizing facebook articles as well as users (turning them into auto-domesticated/braiwashed cattle). Controlling the CURRENCY and NEWS at the same time - WOW, WHAT A TOOL!!!

Gabe, thanks for sharing this. Quite a statement from a central banker to suggest a synthetic hegemonic currency, which would be "best provided by the public sector" - that'd suggests the end of the Fed and other central banks. But when that commentator said 'Facebook is the public sector', I loughed out loud... That's the 'normalcy bias' he explained just minutes before.
