I get the impression that the mother, from who all live comes, and I don't mean mother earth, more like Nut, the Egyption heaven or consciousness, is replaced by male popes, and chaotic images of books and grails and armed man.. This was the first time I watch this in its entirety. I could not help but feel elements of the original Star Wars in this film. Even the Dad in this movie looks like Grand Moff Tarkin and the other guy with the one hand. Darth Vader. The element of savior Maria (Mary) the goddess. The son reminds me of Skywalker. Pillars and stairs and the rows of people all can be found throughout the original Star Wars. For years I have had an odd feeling that Star Wars was some how had historical past truth. As if this was a story of our past. Fascinating! Just my take.

Cant help it. but one of the opening scenes of this film (from 15:30 to 17:30 min in the film) , right before the main character goes in a taxi to see his father in "the new Babylon" - The scene where "the machine" explodes, and there is a moloch-offering, this very much reminds me of EuroVision SongContest and Madonna's performance there... https://youtu.be/VG3WkiL0d_U?t=39 Almost the same in Madonnas performance; a long set of stairs, black clothed people, weird walking, offering of people into the mouth of molock (the top of the stairs), they had smoke in the film, and she used fire....but the stair, the "not so free" attitude of the actors, the apparent offering at the end of both scenes, well... past repeating again? So both in 1927 and 2019 the long stairs, the columns, the offerings, the weird robotic walk of the actors/characters, its all the same, is it not? ("offering" scene is 9 minutes into the madonna clip, starts after exactly nine minutes, only difference is, in 1927 they were forced into molochs mouth, but now in 2019 it almost seems like a free will choice, tells us something about the level of manipulation that we have been subjected to)

Interesting to so what was going through the zeitgeist of pre-war Germany. The workers being fed to the beast (God) that empowers the Metropolis elites. Silly pseudo-Nazi's.

I find that, especially if using a VPN, I need to wait a few seconds for the screen to load when I watch your videos. I just keep it in mind when clicking. Some people may be having similar problems.
