Thank you Dick for doing this, I just joined and also received Jeff as my broker. AMA under a trigger sale am I still holding the assets in my wallet or at the firm? Would it be beneficial to send USD to my wallet than to use a bank account, LLC?

For Australian residents, can a self managed super buy crypto ?
2019-07-15 03:38:03 +0000 UTC
This morning I read Wells Fargo will no longer allow Crypto transactions through their bank . If other banks follow suit it will no doubt be a big problem. My question is, when we open an account with Caleb and Brown can we send our paycheck directly to Caleb and Brown to be deposited in our account .

It is my understanding that I can gift my cryptos to my partner without creating a taxable event. Can I have her create an account with your brokerage and have her cash out the cryptos as a citizen of the Philippines? She has never even been to the U.S. so the IRS would not need to be involved. Should my idea work and there is there anything else I need to consider?
Thanks so much!!
Matt

Can you please ask about clarifying availability in other countries? I am in Canada I have a bunch of useless money sitting in RSP (retirement savings plan) holding accounts doing nothing (as I hate all investment options). Can I move this to him without being penalized on the taxes here? If so how? What other options can he advise for this type of situation? Thank you so much!!

AMA Jeff.
1) Do they only buy or also also sell cryptos and wire back in FIAT?
2) Is there a limit? Say cryptos go 100x or more. Would they be able to sell cryptos worth in the millions of Dollars?
3) Did they experience bank wire rejections where the money is returned to them and they struggle to get the money to the customer?
Thank You!
AMA Jeff

If I buy gold with crypto why is that a tax event? I merely used the bitcoin as it was intended as a means of exchange. In my mind, crypto isn't a "security" in the classic sense and isn't regulated as such, so.....what gives with all the taxes?!

Thank you kindly

What is the minimum investment they would consider ?
what kind of services can they offer a hodler who might want to sell when the price reaches a certain point? I suspect that regular exchanges will be overwhelmed- will some holdings need to be transferred to Caleb and Brown beforehand? Or?....

I signed up with Caleb and Brown as Dick suggested. In addition to their help I would HIGHLY suggest to Dick that he has Clinton Donnelly on his show. Clinton was on several other reputable Crypto YouTube programs. Clinton is a Tax attorney and the tax laws regarding Crypto's are quite confusing. Most people who are getting involved with Crypto have NO idea how it is treated from a tax standpoint. Clinton is GREAT. Here is his website. donnellytaxlaw.com

Are there any Australian sales taxes etc on selling cryptos through an Australian broker by US citizens?
2019-07-11 18:16:32 +0000 UTC
Note to anyone who's never had an account outside the USA: Anytime u open an account outside the USA, there are numerous tax forms (and other forms) that the" fucktards that be" have implemented for us all to fill out. these forms have strict time deadlines and HUGE fines for not filling them out. So if u used to do your taxes by yourself, u may not be able to continue this, as u may need someone else to tell u what all the stupid forms are that u will have to fill out each year. It's still worth it, but its more homework, so just a heads up so u don't get fined..

What is the commission rate? What is the minimum investment? How long to receive money once the crypto coins are sold, is there a wait time? Is there a set amount that triggers the funds to be reported ($10,000)? What exchanges do they use and if we wanted to see current values of our position how do we do that?
2019-07-11 17:32:24 +0000 UTC

2019-07-11 17:23:47 +0000 UTC
what cryptos did you buy on this transfer with Jeff?
2019-07-11 17:22:53 +0000 UTC
My questions are as follows. 1. Even if I didn't buy any crypto from them, after I set up my account can I send them my crypto to take profits? 2. How do I do this without breaking any laws? 3. I have an LLC, and a banl account under that LLC. Is it true I don't have to pay capital gains taxes if I conduct these transaction under my LLC? 4. If it's risky to wire the money from your account to mine (bank in US), how else can we get our money? Thanks!
