ISO 20022 - Chico Tango

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWSfCI-VRLc&t=628s

We thank Chico Crypto for this important discovery and introduction to the ISO 20022 standard.

Sooo a little bit of homework for the group. It seems when bitcoin was a little over $200, this international standard was introduced an being defined for financial standards initiatives.

Now, the question is which crypto currencies are using this international standard.

We will pose this as a question for the group. This will be a key in understanding which players are "approved" for this new standard of payments.

Follow the trail and please add your contributions to where it leads. We already know that Chainlink is one...

Another piece of the blockchain-based digital ID puzzle. https://www.irishpatriots.com/ireland_leads_id2020_agenda

That WEP paper provides a pretty limited view on interop. After reading it I assumed it was published at least six months ago or more, but actually only two days ago. Interop has come a long way. While the most common and unworthily hyped approach today still involves a interop platform w/ its own developed internal standards for interacting with other protocols, another superior approach exists. There is now first-class integration where blockchains can be connected directly to one another without intermediary chains. The use case example provided by WEP is pretty elementary. A much more relevant example for today would be interop for the purpose of opening protocols to more scalability and security options, and fulfillment layers... not simply for sharing data. Surprised WEP seems so behind the curve. Interop can now be handled at more of a protocol level than a platform level. Tech is apparently moving way faster than these guys can keep up with. Atomic swap is useful, but that is ancient by today's standards.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) published a whitepaper on blockchain interoperability. They call APIs sub-optimal and kind of endorse Hyperledger's BIF and ION from Clearmatics: https://www.ledgerinsights.com/world-economic-forum-explores-blockchain-interoperability/

Thanks for mentioning AGX. I'm still looking for a stablecoins that's not based on fiat currency, cause bank notes will soon have a unique use case: toilet paper ;-)

I wonder if means-of-exchange will shift towards asset-backed tokens on fast payment layers (like CBDCs, AGX which is silver-backed, and others) rather than native coins of blockchain protocols with shorter block times (like LTC or DGB). Chewing on this. The latter are ultimately not scalable in the long run. Layer 2 solutions are still needed. Asset platforms that provide layer 2 for asset/token payments on par with today's credit card payment rails might be a really big deal, so I'm keeping an eye on a blockchain called Syscoin and its Z-DAG tech (AGX runs on this). The founders of Syscoin later formed Blockchain Foundry, a publicly traded company on the Canadian Securities Exchange. Both worth watching, I think. Syscoin also delivered to mainnet their trust-minimized interchain interoperability protocol for Ethereum earlier this year, so any standard ERC20 token can use their bridge to utilize Z-DAG now.

So I’m guessing the original list is out the window ? Can you please advise.

If we only talk interoperability and Chainlink integration as shown on smartcontract.com, then tokenized BTC and a lot of ERC tokens on the ETH DeFi network.

If you follow the link above you find this PDF https://create.smartcontract.com/sibos17........... ETH and Hyperledger will be or can be the middleman in all this Ether will be a big part and Chainlink............... https://innotribe.com/innotribe-at-sibos/ https://www.swift.com/about-us/innotribe/sibos-2019?tl=en#topic-tabs-menu

Chico Crypto is an amazing researcher.

And the confusion some of us experienced back in the day w/ two separate projects called "Mastercoin" (I've been in the crypto space a while). One died, while the other became Omni.

Ripple is iso 20022 compliant!

Hi Edd, I appreciate this little task for us Patreons, and I'd like to suggest sth while we're already talking cryptos and ISO here. Could we have some kind of briefing on the status quo of digital token identifiers (DTI) the ISO is working on? It looks cryptos are not going to get ISO 4217 identifiers such as USD, EUR or XAU (Gold). I remember the confusion some of us including myself experienced with Bitcoin Black (BCB) and its ERC-20 namesake Bitcoin Black (BLACK), a heads-up for all would be great. ISO published an article about DTI this January, but I don't think it's very helpful for us: https://www.iso.org/news/ref2466.html

XRP, Chainlink, and ADA will be the middleware interledgers. While the others will have a more personal connection. but they will all interconnect at some point.

if chainlink is building a gateway to SWIFT why would others just write an interface to Chainlink like it would appear ETH is doing?

This is interesting https://www.swift.com/news-events/news/crypto-assets_moving-from-theory-to-practice https://www.issanet.org/e/pdf/2019-11_ISSA_Report_Crypto-Assets_Moving_from_Theory_to_Practice.pdf

ADA, XRP, ETH, BTC…?

https://www.smartcontract.com/

I'm by no means an expert, but if this is about SWIFT and Nostro DLT, then it would make a lot of sense if XRP and XLM are gonna be part of that. I might be wrong, but if we assume X stands for X-border, then LM could probably stand for Liquidity Management, and RP for Remittance Protocol.

Ryan, would you mind sharing your sources or supported documents or is this a theory?

You will understand this: God created the earth but Satan runs the world. We are building a “global brain” with blockchains connecting everything to that global brain. Lucifer himself will take up residence in that global brain connecting itself to all. This interview sheds life on the way these people think but W still thinks Trump is a “good guy”. What man gives his daughter away to someone who owns 666 5th avenue? The “man of peace” the one to broker the impossible Middle East peace plan. This is a spiritual war and even though we are all moonboys hoping to become rich, this interview shows both sides and the real forces and functions of markets.

I love. Thank you!!!!

So if this USDC coin is used as the US dollar since is an coin on the etherum blockchai, then this will be a way of getting the fiat US dollar into the crypto space...... therefore you do not have to get out of cryptos to transact or buy/ sell .... this is a direct connectivity ...... between the fiat system and the new crypto system .....???? any thoughts? So for instance in your exodus wallet you oul

My first guess would be the DeFi Network; however I have not researched this yet. I'll put up another post after I dig into this further of my findings. As always...... much appreciative of being a member.

Tyler is my favorite pothead. Between crypto viewing and Chico you save me hours of research time. Sharing others work: if the Patreon’s want a deep dive into markets, this is a fantastic interview especially over Easter. 2.5hrs so not for everyone but in my opinion this is the foundation we all should understand. https://youtu.be/DT7HWvKitMY
