in the public video, private yet to be released, i think they basically said that MS/Apple/Linux are all there to create creative competition but basically they are all the same. I don't think there is any difference between any of them, so feel free to move to linux IMHO

So I'm not sure what to do? I have been thinking of upgrading my desktop to a Linux for a while now but after watching the last two post about Linux im Confused. It looks like it's the future of big business and planned to role out in everything made for us. Im thinking if its going that way anyway then I may as well join the bus? Or is there another option that im not seeing here?

One of the reasons for the rise of popularity of open source software has been companies going to a subscription based model of payment. You pay for the software per month on almost a rental basis instead of buying a permanent licence all at once. Companies like Adobe/Autodesk make unsubscribing finically painful. You also lose access to any past projects you did with the software. It's almost a Mob like software as protection racket. "Nice Files yous got here, be a real shame if you lose access to them"

Very interesting video. I work in IT on a lot of open source software. I can see how a blockchain solution could be used to incentivize developers. Why work for corporations any longer if your code and solutions are recorded on a ledger and you can receive payment automatically in crypto. I can see how every line of code is recorded, percent modified, number of executions, even the cost of missed bugs.

Hello dear Randy, what do you mean with "Nommo"? Names? If you think we have misconceptions could you explain the specific topic? Would be great to learn for all of us. You seem to be an expert. Thank you for your contribution. All the best, Rose

Just got through (for some reason I am no longer getting emails from Patreon) watching, "Who controls Linux." For the love of Nommo, please get a technical expert to join you all so they can correct you on the finer points and misconceptions you all have on a given subject that you are not deeply involved in. Hat tip to Norman in that thread for trying to set you all straight. Devil is the in the details of any license.
