MODULORKA: DA PRE-GAME

To start a game of MODULORKA players first select a Battlefield Card. 

Battlefield Cards outline the size of the board, give guidance on the terrain layout, set each player's points budget and outline how many Mission, Battlefield Condition and Event Cards players should select.

Mission Cards outline the victory parameters and the length of the game. By completing Missions, players accrue Victory Points (represented by Victory Point tokens), and the player with the most Victory Points at the end of the game is crowned the winner. Any Mission Card can act as a primary or secondary mission, and the Battlefield Card will outline how many to select.

Battlefield Condition Cards change up how the battlefield shapes up - Fog might reduce the range of weapons, toxic rain might fall from the sky, or a herd of aggressive beasts might stampede through the battlefield. The Battlefield Card will specify if a specific Battlefield Condition is in play, or if players should pick one randomly.

Event Cards are played mid-game to add some unexpected events to the game. You might get some reinforcements, another objective might open up, or a wandering stranger might enter the field. Event cards are normally picked randomly and not revealed until the mid point of the game.

Once the Pre-Game has been determined, players then move to the heart of the game: Building their Wargangs....
