2021-10-16 11:54:02 +0000 UTCSeems like a lot of people are fomo'ing in on the ETF hype... reminds me of the hype for BTC futures in 2017. Anybody remember what happened the day the CME opened BTC.f trading? I've also been wondering, since the 2 ETFs are futures-based, will it even require the institutions to purchase actual BTC off the spot market? And if so, would they have purchased their holdings in preparing to get their product approved by SEC, or would they just dump a few hundred million/billions on the spot market immediately after approval? What demographic has been waiting on the sidelines this long for a futures-based ETF? "Big/smart money"? If so, is it logical to think they would make large buys at all time highs? What I'm really asking is, can someone please explain - in accurate detail - exactly what all the hype is about? I mean, I'm bullish long term, but short term... (I think Michael Burry was asking how to short BTC on twitter today. Maybe Marty can help him out ;)
