Lore: Demons (part 1)

The oldest ones were once part of the heavenly beings of paradise. But also, holy creatures who were not able to fulfill their mission, even before Lucifer's great affront took place, and who were punished for it.

There, the soul is corrupted to such an extent that, with the passage of the non-existent time, nothing remains recognizable in it. The angels who found their destiny in hell were returned from it as corrupt creatures, physically and mentally. Without a trace of the light that once made them the most beautiful beings in creation ... After the worst of punishments, their wings are no longer white, nor light as air, they do not even retain their feathers. Now behind them they carry two black, heavy-looking wings, darkened skin with wrinkled folds and edges, as if they were half decomposed. Their overall appearance can be just as emaciated, looking like monsters or deformed parts, or retain broad features of what they once were, like angels.

Its physical strength could be said that it almost surpasses that of an angel, or rather the key in the advantage that they can obtain at the time of a confrontation is rather their resistance. After going through hell, no other pain or hurt is ever the same.

When an angel meets a demon, the whole environment changes. Even ordinary people would be able to feel something.

Human appearance

The demons were the first to understand that there was no better way to ruin the human species than by mixing with each other. Like that of the angels, it is a physical and functional body, which can feel and receive all human pleasures, without the inconveniences that these bring with them such as diseases, damage from accidents, worldly attacks, or even unwanted offspring, as they are sterile creatures in both their spiritual and human forms. However, when a supernatural has spent a long time in this form, or has expended a significant amount of energy, they can feel characteristic needs of mortals such as hunger, sleep...

Under his mortal guise, a demon can be recognized by the aura of the most intense black color that exists, which surrounds them and accompanies them everywhere.

Demon blood

The blood that a demon possesses is the result of continuous exposure in the dimension that mutates, twists, and rots everything. This dark blood with the texture of oil, decomposes everything in its path as if it were the most corrosive acid.

For an angel it is the only deadly poison they can receive. If they come into contact with it, in addition to leaving scars where it touches, their spirit would sicken like a mortal body would.

For a human being, the effect is the same, but much more devastating. It burns on contact with the skin, but if it entered your system, there would be no possible salvation. Blood would rush through it, burning everything in its path.

Capitals sins

Pride, greed, lust, wrath, gluttony, envy, and sloth

Just as heaven has its structure, its beloved order, its organization... Hell, despite being its complete opposite, has developed within its chaos and unpredictable nature, a similar system:

• Pride, a direct antagonist to Humility, endows the demon in question with a certain mental control whenever he makes eye contact (and maintains it) with the being he wants to control.
• Greed, direct antagonist of Generosity. His ability is also called a Midas curse. These demons are capable of transforming anything they touch into gold. Any object, even something alive. However, if he uses his power too much, he can end up turned into a golden statue.
• Lust, direct antagonist of Chastity. The touch of him and especially the smell of him is addictive.
• Gluttony, direct antagonist of Temperance. With the gift of it they can adopt the appearance, abilities, memories, and in general, everything that defines a soul together with its body... when eating it. But over time they lose part of their identity.
• Wrath, direct antagonist of Patience. His power is infernal flames. These flames are lethal and devastate everything they ignite. The only thing that can extinguish them is the holy water, and the only thing that heals a wound caused by these is the direct blood of an angel.
• Envy, direct antagonistic to Charity. His ability is to hide his own nature. He is able to make his entire aura disappear, and appear to be just another human in the eyes of angels and other demons alike.
• Laziness, a direct antagonist to Diligence, gives one of the most underrated groups of demons the ability to put people to sleep at will. Through a unique and special aroma, it makes other people's souls fall into a dream that, depending on the demon's ability, can be anything from a nap to an eternal sleep.

Skills:

Like angels, demons can possess the body of other humans and, in addition, they have their own rites, conjured through sacrifices and hedonistic rituals that they have used throughout the centuries to open breaches between hell and earth, as repulsors of angels or directly as weapons.

Los más antiguos, fueron en su día parte de los seres celestiales del paraíso. Pero también, criaturas santas que no fueron capaces de cumplir con su cometido, incluso antes de que la gran afrenta de Lucifer tuviera lugar, y que fueron castigadas por ello.

Allí, el alma se corrompe hasta tal punto que, con el paso del allí inexistente tiempo, no queda nada reconocible en ella. Los ángeles que fueron a dar con su destino al infierno, fueron devueltos por éste como criaturas corruptas, física y mentalmente. Sin rastro de la luz que un día los hizo los seres más bellos de la creación... Tras el peor de los castigos, sus alas ya no son blancas, ni ligeras como el aire, siquiera conservan las plumas. Ahora a sus espaldas cargan con dos alas negras, de aspecto pesado, piel oscurecida con pliegues y bordes ajados, como si estuvieran a medio descomponer. Su aspecto en general puede mostrarse igual de demacrado, viéndose como monstruos o con partes deformes, o conservar grandes rasgos de lo que un día fueron, como ángeles.

Su fuerza física se podría decir que casi supera a la de un ángel, o más bien la clave en la ventaja que pueden obtener a la hora de un enfrentamiento es más bien su resistencia. Después de pasar por el infierno, ningún otro dolor o herida vuelve a ser el mismo.

Cuando un ángel se cruza con un demonio, el ambiente entero cambia. Hasta las personas corrientes serían capaces de sentir algo.

Apariencia humana

Los demonios fueron los primeros en comprender que no había mejor forma de llevar a la ruina a la especie humana que mezclándose entre ellos. Como el de los ángeles, se trata de un cuerpo físico y funcional, que puede sentir y recibir todos los placeres humanos, sin los inconvenientes que estos traen consigo como enfermedades, daños por accidentes, ataques mundanos, o incluso la descendencia indeseada, pues son criaturas estériles tanto en su forma espiritual como humana. Sin embargo, cuando un sobrenatural ha pasado mucho tiempo en esta forma, o ha gastado una importante cantidad de energía, puede llegar a sentir necesidades características de los mortales cómo hambre, sueño...

Bajo su apariencia de mortal, un demonio puede ser reconocido por el aura del color negro más intenso existente, que le rodea y le acompaña a todos lados.

Sangre de Demonio

La sangre que posee un demonio es el resultado de la exposición continua en la dimensión que todo lo muta, lo   retuerce, y lo pudre. Esta sangre oscura de la textura del petróleo, lo descompone todo a su paso como si se tratara del ácido más corrosivo.

Para un ángel es el único veneno mortal que puede recibir. Si entra en contacto con ella, además de dejar cicatrices allí donde se pose. Su espíritu enfermaría como un cuerpo mortal lo haría,.

Para un ser humano, el efecto es el mismo, pero mucho más fulminante. Arde al contacto con la piel, pero si ingresara en su sistema, no habría salvación posible. La sangre avanzaría por éste, quemando todo a su paso.

Pecados Capitales

Soberbia, Avaricia, Lujuria, Ira, Gula, Envidia y Pereza

Así como el cielo tiene su estructura, su amado orden, su organización... El infierno, a pesar de ser su opuesto completo, ha desarrollado dentro de su caos y su naturaleza impredecible, un sistema similar:

• La Soberbia, antagónico directo de la Humildad, dota al demonio en cuestión de un cierto control mental siempre que haga contacto visual (y lo mantenga) con el ser al que quiere controlar.
• La Avaricia, antagónico directo de la Generosidad. Su habilidad también es llamada maldición de Midas. Estos demonios son capaces de transformar todo lo que toquen en oro. Cualquier objeto, hasta algo vivo. Sin embargo, si usa demasiado su poder puede acabar convertido en estatua de oro.
• La Lujuria, antagónica directa de la Castidad. Su toque y sobre todo su olor es adictivo.
• La Gula, antagónica directa de la Templanza. Con su don pueden adoptar la apariencia, habilidades, recuerdos, y en general, todo lo que define a un alma junto a su cuerpo... al comersela. Pero con el transcurso del tiempo van perdiendo parte de su identidad.
• La Ira, antagónica directa de la Paciencia. Su poder son las llamas infernales. Estas llamas son letales y arrasan todo lo que prenden. Lo único que puede apagarlas es el agua bendecida, y lo único que sana una herida provocada por estas es la sangre directa de un ángel.
• La Envidia, antagónica directa de la Caridad. Su habilidad es la de esconder su propia naturaleza. Es capaz de hacer desaparecer su aura entera, y parecer un simple humano más a ojos tanto de ángeles como de otros demonios.
• La Pereza, antagónica directa de la Diligencia, le da a uno de los grupos de demonios más infravalorados la habilidad de hacer dormir a las personas a voluntad. Mediante un aroma único y especial, hace caer a las almas ajenas en un sueño que, dependiendo de la habilidad del demonio, puede ser desde una siesta hasta un sueño eterno.

Habilidades:

Al igual que los ángeles, los demonios pueden poseer el cuerpo de otros humanos y, además, cuentan con sus propios ritos, conjurados mediante sacrificios y rituales hedonistas, que han usado a lo largo de los siglos para abrir brechas entre el infierno y la tierra, como repulsores de ángeles o directamente como armas.
