Depends what you mean by losing. If Russia loses 10000 soldiers to gain 2 kilometres then Ukraine is winning. The only way Ukraine can lose is if the US stops military and financial aid, so the narrative of this war in the US is the deciding factor because that is the basis of US decision making. Putin obviously knows this and thus Russia puts a lot of effort into manipulating US politicians. It has to establish a 'Ukraine is losing' narrative, which plays into the MAGA isolationism of Trump - they want Ukraine to lose because they want the US to withdraw from Europe and NATO. This channel is primarily aimed at Americans who are reasonably aware media consumers, so if this channel went full propaganda (think North Korean TV) it would be seen as just propaganda and would no longer be influencing the narrative and thus unsuccessful. I agree they cannot be totally truthful (the Ukrainians probably lost 1000-3000 over those 2 kilometres, who knows? but they aren't going to report that). However, they are reporting where the frontline currently is, even when it is lost ground, unlike the Russians who continually claim to have captured this town or that town and then we see video of Ukrainians in that town.

Yes and no. While I will continue to subscribe , I'm still 100% certain that this news source is self-censoring by not sharing the adverse impacts which are being experienced by the Ukrainians.
I'm also aware that some of the team are operating from within Ukraine, so the entire team have to play by Ukrainian rules.
For example, any recent sentiment that Ukrainians are winners is fiction , since they're currently mostly losing - and our leaders ( the leaders of the less-autocratic nations such as Europe , UK , USA , Scandanavia et al ) are definitely short selling the Ukrainians.
Telling a one sided story is not propaganda, but making out like losers are winners is indeed propaganda.
The most important point is that the facts which are being provided are sufficiently accurate - that's good enough for me.

I have watched RFU from the start and am now a member. The content here is worth paying for. The analysis is good and not just propaganda. I can explain what is happening and why to anybody that asks (and even those that don't ask!) because of this channel. Well done and keep up the good work.
