So, the shield is ready (one-piece, shield and patterns, only patterns)
The project turned out to be unexpectedly large-scale and I did not fit into the deadlines that I set for myself and announced here (on Patreon) earlier: on the 10th and 25th, lay out the models.
In the future, I really want to and will meet these deadlines.
It didn't take too long to model the shield. Most of the overall work was taken up by subsequent actions, such as splitting into parts and taxonomy of exported files.
After the basic shape was ready, I thought it would be a good idea to make several variations of the shield. And, thus, 3 versions of it saw the light:
1. shield-and-patterns
2. only-patterns
3. one piece shield
In the first version, for ease of printing, painting and assembling, I separated the drawing from the "wooden" base.
In the second version, there is an option when someone wants to make real wooden boards for the shield and not print plastic ones. In this version, the pattern does not have fasteners on the back, it is simply smooth so that it can be freely glued to the wooden base.
In the third version, all elements are connected together
Then it's time to cut the shield into pieces for easier printing. After one eternity, options with cuts of two types were added: for printers with a print area of 200x200x200mm and 400x400x400mm. Choose the right one :)
The result was a lot of shield options for every taste, which can be described as an entertaining puzzle xD
