February 13, 2025 I will be removing the Horn of Boromir from the free access for the Patrons. So have time to download the files if you plan to print it in the future ^_^
So, the sword is ready!
It was quite a challenge to model it, not because of the patterns or the design, but because finding references for it was a very difficult task. Only thanks to two wonderful people I got reference images that helped me create this sword. Some details were not visible in the images and I had to figure out how they looked.
I hope that in the end everything turned out as correct and accurate as possible.
There are three versions of this sword:
- uncut
- cut for printing on printers with a print area of 200x200x200 mm
- cut for printing on printers with a print area of 400x400x400 mm
The cut versions have a hole for a short rod 3x486 mm. It is short because the shape of the sword did not allow me to put a longer rod in it.
Sword parameters:
overall length with handle 1270 mm
scabbard length 926 mm
My dears, I have a request for you. I am worried that due to the curve of the sword, it may not fit well into the scabbard. I made a gap between the blade and the scabbard, but I need your feedback on this. Once you print the sword, please let me know if it fits well. If something doesn't work well, I'll fix it and post a corrected version.
