PATREON EXCLUSIVE: What are my qualifications and what makes me an expert?

Thank you Alexander, that is actually Education.

I asked the same question before, this is not in an attempt to discredit you but it's quite the opposite, I was (I still am) so impressed with the thoughtfulness and quality of the content, I have no choice but to ask what qualifications you have, because I think you are so amazingly qualified! Universities these days are just money making institutions, I see many new graduates with Masters degrees joining the workforce with absolute shit EQ/IQ.

1:35 you're INTJ. Hrm, maybe INTP.

Having a degree in something is almost a red flag. Haha Government education is not education and many mainstream companies are starting to shy away from degrees. You definitely don’t need a degree to make good arguments about a topic. Claiming you should have a degree to speak on a topic is a fallacy. It’s just a lazy way for people to disregard good arguments that they can’t refute.

I feel that everyone needs to have a healthy amount of disrespect for anything artifical or man made like university degrees or the education system. The danger in not developing this healthy amount of disrespect is that it justifies or supports erroneous beliefs or propositions just by virtue of the person's qualifications. In the past, every "leader" in their field made horribly wrong statements that were, fortunately, challenged by some "rebels" only to show that this "leader" was completely wrong. Furthermore, the way you say you've picked up your expertise is far more valuable than doing a bunch of conventional theory at a university and I'm here only because I thought that your content was good and resonated with what I felt made sense. I didn't really care if you had a degree or not but I did want to know how you gathered the knowledge and experience that you have and I'm not surprised!

You and Rollo Tomassi are my favorite experts with relationship and evolutionary physiology.

Hello Sir, today I had a chat with my sister where I asked her about what she wants form a man. What she answered was mostly that what you encourage us to become, high quality men. I remember how she explicitly emphasized phrases you usually use, such as "leader in a relationship" or "he should do his own thing in life". That was yet another confirmation for me that you are competent in your field, even without a degree :) Please, keep up the good work!

So I subscibed to your Patreon just a few days ago, and this reaffirms that I made the right decision!

Logic, Reason, an understanding of the Scientific Literature.... sounds like all the qualifications you need!!

I went through a doctoral program about 15 years into my career where all the course work had immediate, theoretical and practical relevance for my job. I don’t have the degree though because I didn’t finish my dissertation. When you’re in an academic program, especially if you’re working, it’s easy to see that the degree itself is meaningless- it’s the effort you put into learning that adds value. Any line items on your resume are simply bullet points to help direct dialogue about what you’ve learned and how you can apply it in the future.

I have an undergraduate decgree in psychology as well as several graduate courses as part of my doctorate. Being able to boast academic training doesn't make one an effective counselor, and the absence of a degree doesn't indicate a lack of efficacy. Your posts speak for themselves. Good job.

It’s so inspiring to see you own your story. Some of the greatest ideas, artworks and discoveries have come from those who ventured outside of their field. And respect to your Steiner teaching. I’d be far less of a man if I’d had a different primary education. I now understand part of why you take a more wholistic approach to a field dominated by shallow pickup ‘artists’. History and politics hey?.. now I know why ur so smart! :)

Very honest video. Personally I would prefer life experience and wisdom over academic qualifications when being given advice in this subject. You can't expect someone to truly understand relationship hardships without having gone through it themselves.

Id be interested to know what your MBTI is. :-)

I have met many "Experts" with advanced degrees, I can't imagine that this subject could be codified in a series of classes, especially as the universities are not run by people who would welcome these subjects.

Paul Meade

That fits.

Nice, I was thinking about writing to you about the same topic.
