Haha how wrong these predictions panned out...

Although 2020 was bad for alot of people I personally learned alot about myself and my behaviour towards other people and helped me improve myself and yet again in the UK with the second lockdown. I didnt have anyone in particular to talk to so i kept hitting up people especially women and helped me become more natural and expressive of myself.

In a way I'm thankful for the timing of the lockdowns. I initiated a divorce at the beginning of the outbreak, cheated on after 8 years. Everything I've read points to the need to rebuilt myself, regain esteem, and go "monk mode". The lockdowns have basically removed the temptation to deviate from what's likely the best course of action for me. In the meantime I'm increasing my cooking skills, losing weight, and revitalizing lost hobbies. Not all bad... and 2021 is looking pretty damn promising.

I would think that any socio-economic crisis will naturally always skew the dating market into men's favor for a bit of time, at least while the crisis is ongoing.

I agree with your sentiment. As a younger man of 21, I’m using this time to finish my last classes before I graduate, read books I haven’t had the time for, work out and bike as often as I like, etc. And perhaps it’s just been my experience, but some women my age are still willing to meet up. So, if you’re brave and just really need that human contact/sexual release, take advantage of the fact that other people likely feel that same pressure to do so. Great content as always, Alexander. As a side note, I would love to see the Relationships on Reddit podcast return, as I was one of the people who tuned in to every episode haha.

What I find really fascinating, is that I've been working really hard to start my own company the last 7 months. I went to school, had and intership at the same time. But the majority of the time I was working from home (it's an IT-project). I never really missed the lack of social interactions that I could've had. But now, still doing the same, but with school now also being from home, I somehow really feel the urge to go out. As if my brain wants to do excactly what it can't. Maybe I didn't miss it at first because it was voluntary, and now it isn't. Weird...
