This also relates to your video on having more female ancestors. It stands to reason that if we have half as many male ancestors, then those men probably had twice as many children and were probably promiscuous to achieve that. We are all descendants of those men.

If you sleep with the promiscuous guy, sure, he may leave and you'll be unhappy, but if you successfully raise his children, his sons will also be jerks who will manage to sleep with lots of women, and his daughters will be submissive and accept abuse from and sleep with more men like him, thus continuing the cycle.
