Love Is Blind. No spoilers please, only halfway through this show but finding it fascinating/depressing watching how desperate people are to fall in love. There are sweet moments too but on the whole, it feels very rushed. Interesting idea though

Well, it's very obvious the people were hand-picked. There's no fat whales, no one with huge tatoos on their faces. Everyone is average attractiveness or better (though ratings would probably be higher if there were some really unattractive people, which makes me think there may have been something in the contracts about default attractiveness or the contestants got to see pictures of everyone else, just without the names attached)

1000% no. This is not a genuine social experiment, it's just a more extreme variant on blind dating. The producers have OBVIOUSLY engineered in all the tropes / inner conflict / regret / reveal / post hook-up conflict etc etc. It's a SHOW ... as fabricated as TOWIE, The Bachelor & Love Island

Love is blind? I watched a couple episodes and I say love is deaf. Instagram: love is deaf.

This looks very interesting! You've got a knack for finding interesting romantic experiments and collecting anthropological data. I love this stuff.

I found the preview very cringe. And I am someone who met my husband in an online chat room - so we didn’t know what each other looked like for a long time. Did I see a potential future with him before I knew what he looked like... yes. Would I have committed to him before we ever met face to face... absolutely not. Once we did meet face to face, did I know for sure... yes.
