PATREON EXCLUSIVE: Do Women Want Social Climbers or Social Disrupters?

This trait in guys that you were talking about, to make a new hierarchies or create something never existed before, is called Openness to Experience in the Big 5 Personality trait model.

Freedom and Anxiety are two sides of the same coin.

True, but too many people now think that change for the sake of change is good. Having too many people who buck norms is detrimental to the interests of the society.

Funny that Alexander talks about cults because my husband sometimes says to me 'Girl, you done drunk the Red Pill kool-aid! Lol! Speaking of, I think these concepts might be why I've seen some Red Pill guys say to feminists, 'Sure, strong independent women, until the zombie apocalypse, then you're looking to men to try to rebuild society, physically and socially.' If that is the adaptability Alexander and others are talking about, then I agree with Jen. It's not so much about intentionally disrupting the status quo, but more the fact that those characteristics demonstrate the ability to stabilize during a crisis, even if it's just on a family level. Also, I don't necessarily want a rebel, I just like knowing my man is not afraid to challenge the status quo if necessary.

You're talking about the difference between the N and S MBTI types, or the Inventive and Habitual big5 types.

Damn Alex. I always respect your thought processes and how you articulate your viewpoints but sometimes some things you say really hit home and it blows me away with your intelligence and perceptiveness. I am that “need for safety and stability” girl. And yes, most definitely has roots in my childhood coupled with my introverted personality. The man best suited for me, my husband, I see as a “builder.” And while he actually is in construction 😆 I mean that in a broader sense as well. Even when we met (college age) I saw he had this strength, intelligence, leadership, and ability to build relationships, partnerships, systems of interactions, plans and processes, and eventually... actually physical buildings (for work). I felt and still feel that this skill set of his would translate well and keep me safe when the outside world was stable if/when things all went to shit. For me it wasn’t so much about always staying with the social order OR disrupting it - but rather being able to build a place of safety in any outside environment for which we had no control. Hope that makes sense.

Here is the message that inspired the video: Hi Alexander, Thank you for what you do, for your work, for explaining the principles, the raw concepts, and for being so patient and able to reexplain from different angles of attack the same concepts, this is key, for me at least, to eventually get the point on many topics. Education is repetition. Here's my question for you : From a biological, evolutionary perspective, does it make sense, that girls permanently look for indicators, in a man, of a potential ability to create new groups, and new systems of beliefs, to gather people around them ? As from an evolutionary perspective, men who are able in any situation of chaos, to recreate ordered hierarchies and systems of beliefs fast, will be able to create secure groups fast, and provide safety for everyone, and allow the tribes to survive and thrive, again. As danger prowls constantly (or prowled 50k years ago), the best thing the human race can have to adapt, is individuals who can constantly recreate a group fast and bring the level of safety back to normal levels. So it would make sense that women would have evolved to be attracted by men who display indicators of this ability. And it would also make sense, that this mechanism, which is deeply rooted in their mind, could have some "variations" or lighter expressions of itself, and that women would be naturally attracted to men who display any kind of ability to create groups, system of belief, gather around them, not only about purely practical and survival matters. For example today, if this mechanism is still at play, an educated woman, will still be attracted by men who display those indicators, but in a more sophisticated way, like being able to create a music band and have fans, being able to win a debate and the approval of the group, being able to instantly make friend and win the admiration of common dudes. Maybe this explains why novels like After revolves around a man being a rebel, who reprensents, who shows indicators of a strong frame, different than the "classic" mainstream frame. It could also be true for the attraction generated by a man who dresses à la mode, who is following a fashion that is constantly challenging the established mainstream fashion, because it demonstrate this same ability to create or be part of a new, unseen, system of beliefs and/or group. It's a very empirical and instinctive theory. Do you know of any scientific work that goes in that way for explaining the root of attraction for women towards men ? Also would it be relevant to base one's gaming, seduction strategy, firmly upon this core concept and try to work on displaying a lot of this indicators, by an activity, a behavior, subjects of conversation, etc. ? Thank you for your time and I hope I didn't miss one of your video explaining this concept, because I got inspired by your work a lot to build up this theory.

Interesting video Alexander, I know I am just one woman but your theory seems to make sense. I grew up poor and would find a man who could create something new more attractive than a follower. Not sure if that is just self-sufficiency and adaptability being more attractive than stability because deep down I know that no one is ever safe xxx

I know that this isn’t exactly the focus of the video, but I don’t believe that it’s a strength of the West to have hundreds of competing ideologies. A unified society is a strong society, and a strong society discourages the upending of the natural order of things. I think that the West has many strengths, but the infatuation with revolutionaries among women is a clear sign that there needs to be a harder line drawn against radicalism. Of course, western populations have so little in common now that it’s somewhat doubtful that that can even happen still.
