@Pepito Sbezzeguti - Not really: Men are a LOT more hierarchical precisely because they tend to accept, work with and develop their hierarchies, while women just reject the notion while stabbing each other in the back in near free-for-all chaos. Little ACTUAL structure survives the melee.

@Hermann It’s not just you. I did a study on hazel eye colour & many of the men (out of a few hundred polled in person) I asked had no idea what their family members’ eye colours were either. But virtually all the women knew.

Dude, I just saw your reply, you went from 'not even marginally correct', to restating my position in your words. I found it funny ngl

Wouldn't this be linked to the desire among men to hang around other men with high status? Something which is not that bad and perhaps easier to understand and respect.

I quit dating 10 years ago. If I were still dating, I would not date fat, hairy women. I'd date slim, younger women who didn't expect me to pay for everything. All of the attractive, professional women I dated behaved as if were still 1950, and men supported them. All economic studies today indicate that our behaviors from 1950 simply no longer work. What hasn't changed is men's attraction to fit and even slim mates. It's biologically driven for men to choose fit, attractive, healthy women for breeding. Most women resent that because they wanna relax and get fat. Fine, get hairy, too. None of that will change my mind, and I don't particularly care about women who choose to be fat and hairy. Try to prove something most men and many women could care less about and be ostracized.

I am also going on a small sample size when it comes large nipples.
However, at the end of the day, our reality is based on our current partner. I wonder what kind of reality awaits me around the corner. 😏

Mark, I have to disagree. My sensitivity at least doesn’t seem dependent on the man. But, not a big sample size & no one I wasn’t attracted to.

I took the class even earlier (in 2004) & I’m not familiar with his modern takes. Shocking how quickly education has become woke. The main takeaway that I wanted you to get was that we humans are in between tournament & pair bonding species, but I found that whole class fantastic (it was called Human Sexuality back then), filled with interesting info. He was also the ONLY professor (out of many for both my bio & chem degrees) who taught critical analysis of research with an emphasis on statistical significance vs meaningful significance.

RhodiumMaiden - I'm vaguely familiar with Dr. Sapolsky in a more modern context where he argues for "biological sex as a spectrum". It is interesting to see his earlier lectures where such social justice narratives were less pronounced. I was particularly intrigued by his discussion concerning female-female competition and gender role reversals in certain "tournament species"--I presume this is what you wanted me particularly to see? Though I'm not convinced the degree to which this phenomenon is reflected in all human societies, there certainly is evidence to suggest such tendencies MAY be proliferating in more "progressive" cultures with the proliferation of "SIMPing" and MGTOW. Equally interesting was his discussion of "homosexuality and kin selection". The potential implications of a growth in both phenomena on procreative HEALTH at the expense of procreative RATES is indeed sobering.

It may just be me, but I cannot tell you the eye colour of anyone in my life. Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, etc. I honestly don't know. A few years ago the conversation came up about eye colours and I realized I did not know my own eye colour. I was about 30 years old at that point..

Eric, I believe the perception of the stimulation depends on the woman's level of attraction for us and how well we are hitting the g spot.

RhodiumMaiden - It strikes me as somewhat debatable if the aesthetic trumps the sensual in intensity or depth of appreciation. Discrimination may hinder the degree of valuation as a consequence of sheer GRATITUDE. I admit I MAY be a trifle biased. 😉

RodoumMaiden - I'm not sure I quite understand the expression "Tournament species", but I guess it WOULD surprise me a bit, seeing as men's propensity for competition (and hence the acceptance of hierarchies) is so well documented (especially by women of late). I may have to take your word for it.

My experience: white, black, Hispanic, Asian - pinker before first pregnancy, darker after breastfeeding. Sensitivity varies by time of the month. Some women experience so much sensitivity that it is painful always. Most nipples soft until stimulated, then erect. I don’t think most women find the stimulation that sexual.

@Joseph Ofc, they’re not sexual for me. But I’ve always loved the (nude) female form, as an artist. And I’m very visual. Also discriminating, in a way straight men aren’t likely to be. I wonder if many women are similar? I have no clue.

There is also Alexander's namesake, Christine Grace Smith, who's a great fan of this channel, and LOVES to do reaction videos of his: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hDd8LSU4NA I think she would be thrilled if she could interview him directly. Her own channel has grown 4-fold (going on 90k subs now) over the past year.

RhodiumMaiden - The color of the eyes don't count to a man as much as their "prettiness"--how they make him FEEL. I'm thinking women "care" so much about the specific details (such as color) so as to make specific "points" in the marketplace of the female hierarchy of "concern". Who knows, it might be on the test! 😊
Joseph Omega

RhodiumMaiden - Unless they're Lesbians, I would expect that a woman may not be able to full appreciate the wonderful diversity and sensitivity of the female nipple.
Joseph Omega
2024-05-11 02:22:53 +0000 UTC
RhodiumMaiden - I have to disagree. Whereas women CLAIM to hate hierarchies while surreptitiously and strictly adhereing to them, men ACCEPT hierarchies openly and wholeheartedly. In BOTH cases hierarchies matter GREATLY.
Joseph Omega
2024-05-11 02:19:19 +0000 UTC
@Pepito Sbezzeguti - Hah! That is not even MARGINALLY correct. Males compete VERY FIERCELY! It's just that they do it ABOVE BOARD! And they become CLOSER as a result. THAT is the basis of teamwork--respectful competition. On the other hand, females PRETEND not to compete and PRETEND to be the closest of friends and "sisters", while all the while stabbing and undermining each other behind their backs. No news here.

Never ceases to amaze me how so many men can’t even tell me their mother’s eye colour! I know the eye colour of everyone I’ve ever encountered. If I don’t, I do everything I can to find out (i.e. online, or if it’s a famous person). Huge gender disparity wrt to what men vs women observe.

I’ll never cease to be grossed out by huge areolae or inverted nipples, & I didn’t know Asian women could have super dark/almost black nipples until recently, which also grossed me out. I am a total nipple elitist.

Hierarchy would definitely still matter among men without women, but I agree it would matter less.

I believe every woman ranks the attractiveness of everyone! We’re just not all as conscious of it. I most certainly am, though thankfully it doesn’t affect my self-esteem much. But I very much care about the (primarily natural) beauty of those I look at. Makeup, fake/overdone hair, lip filler, trendy outfits etc I’m NOT a fan of though. Overdone women I see as bimbos & even if they’re not they’re annoying as friends because they take SO long to get ready & won’t even go to the grocery store without their full getup.

Many of us found our way to Alexander after sampling red pill or black pill content elsewhere. They both start with truth, but then fan the flames of male anger. Some men fall into hopelessness. But most find their way out of the anger, and find a more useful and balanced take like Alexander’s.

100% - I argue that women really are more hierarchal than men in their social interactions, and that the only value with which they measure each other is beauty. This happens deep in their minds, as they compete for the male with what' they perceive as the best genes, as they are in control of reproduction. I argue that hierarchy among men comes entirely from this, as in, if there were not women to show off to we would all be friends each with their competence domain working together as a team.

ok finished watching the video. Basically, we have a gender based culture war on what is the right expectation for the “social contract” where the social contract being when you do x, y, z you receive these rewards which can also be referred to as “the dream”.
Our cultures have evolved where we all have more freedoms to be our authenticate selves. Probably at the expense of the “social contract” which means we have more personal responsibility for making “the dream” happen. Part of this personal responsibility involves doing more self development in lieu of following some blueprint. This involves doing a lot of thinking on your feet.
How are we handling it?
The simplest way to view it is with the grasshopper and ant parable. Many people, for a variety of reasons, are not making the best use of the summer season of their life to prepare for winter. In short, we have many grasshoppers entering the winter season facing a lot of despair and blaming others for it.
Perhaps, we can view this as sexual selection at play with new rules/dynamics in place.

So true 🏆 They secretly hate anyone better than them, a little, and love to compliment down on anyone being bigger or uglier or more insecure. They love when someone is no competition. There's a saying, "the best makeup is an ugly friend", and it exists for a reason.
