All of the women’s spaces still exist, and new ones continue to be created. Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, the American Legion, and the Boy Scouts are just a few of the national and international spaces for male bonding lost in my lifetime. There were many local ones as well. The men’s groups in churches were the most like Heroes Circle. They have been feminized or eliminated, and many now have female facilitators. And fewer men than ever are going to church. Luckily my current church still has a good one. Thank you for posting this. It gives me a better idea of what Heroes Circle is all about.
